Begin your reef fish by creating a waterbomb base. Fold the paper diagonally both ways, then fold vertically and horizontally. Collapse the paper into a triangle with two flaps on each side.

Take the top layer on the right and fold it diagonally down following the dashed line. This forms one side of the fish’s body.

Now fold the left side downward in the same way. You should have a symmetrical kite-like shape forming.

After folding both sides downward, the model should look like the image shown. This step helps confirm the folds are symmetrical before moving on.

Take the left and right edges and fold them inward along the curved dotted lines to shape the fish body.

Carefully flip the model to the other side to reveal the front of the reef fish.

Your reef fish is now complete! Add a googly eye or draw one with a marker. You can also decorate it to give it a colorful personality.
