Begin with your paper already folded into a waterbomb base. Rotate it so the open points are at the top. Take the right side of the model and fold it over to the left, aligning the edges precisely along the center crease as shown in the diagram.

Take the top layer from the left side and fold it upward along the dotted diagonal line. Make sure the crease starts from the bottom point and follows the guide shown in the diagram. This will create a triangular flap.

Take the flap you folded in the previous step and swing it gently over to the right, following the vertical crease shown in the diagram. This moves the flap out of the way and sets up the next fold on the left side.

Take the left layer and fold it over to the right along the vertical centerline. This step mirrors what we did earlier, setting the model up so you can repeat the same folding process on the new visible layer in the next step.

Just like in Step 2, fold the right section upward along the dotted diagonal line. This creates a second flap that matches the one on the left side of the model. Be sure the new fold aligns symmetrically with the existing flap.

Take the flap you just folded in the previous step and gently move it to the left along the vertical center crease. This will bring both flaps to the same side, getting the model ready for the next folds.

Now that all flaps are aligned, gently flip the entire model over to reveal the flat side. This sets the base for the final shaping steps to form the crab’s structure.

Fold the bottom point of the model upward, following the horizontal dashed line shown in the diagram. This small triangle adds detail and dimension to the body of the crab.

Take the left and right corners and fold them downward along the diagonal dashed lines shown in the diagram. These folds create the side features of the crab and give it a wider appearance.
